About Us
I became a doula because I know what it feels like to be unheard, dismissed, and disrespected in a medical setting.
During my own pregnancy, I experienced repeated obstetric neglect and psychological abuse—including being rushed through decisions, ignored when I voiced discomfort, and touched without consent. Even when I asked clear, informed questions about labor emergencies or whether my provider would attend my birth, I was met with indifference or brushed off entirely.
What I experienced is, unfortunately, not uncommon. I’ve since supported other women who’ve faced similar disregard during pregnancy—being dismissed, rushed, or told to minimize their concerns. Moments like these remind me why I do this work: no one should have to prepare for birth feeling unheard or unsupported.
Doula Care Philosophy
I approach every birth with a trauma-informed, culturally rooted, evidence-based lens. My role is to advocate without interfering, to comfort without imposing, and to help you birth with power, peace, and full autonomy.
My Mission at DoulaWill
At DoulaWill, I walk beside women—especially first-time moms, Black mothers, and those navigating harmful systems—to ensure they are seen, prepared, and deeply supported. I believe every birth experience should be shaped by:
Respect for your body and your voice
Education that empowers informed decisions
Compassionate support before, during, and after birth
